$10,000

We’ve already mentioned tonight’s Octopus Project show going on at the South Side Music Hall on the blog this week, but this show certainly merits a few reminders. See, it’s not just another concert — it’s part of the Austin-based band’s Hexadecagon tour, which, yes, comes in support of its new album of the same name, but also, as the above trailer shows, is so much more.

For starters, this show takes place in the round, rather than on a stage. Second, it’s specifically designed, sonically, for an eight-channel sound set-up and surround video as well as sound. Should be an impressive display for sure — as the above trailer more than helps convince.

And the kind folks over at the South Side Music Hall are pretty excited about it, too — so much so that they’ve passed along five free pairs of tickets for us to hand out to DC9 readers interested in checking this sucker out for free. Want that to be you? OK: Find out how to win your pair after the jump.

Want a free pair of tickets to this show? Just be among the first five people, starting right now, to email me with the words “Octopus’ Garden” in the subject line, and you’re in. Good luck!

Update: Contest is over. Congrats to our winners!
