Denton four-piece Manned Missiles, as you can see in the above photograph, has long been bubbling up in the Denton house party scene, and, finally, the band’s got some new recorded music to show for it.
Recently, the band released a new song called “Cut The Lights,” the most melodic and interestingly sonically textured material we’ve yet heard from the young quartet. It’s a meandering track, surely with plenty of room for improvisation in live settings, with an alluring, lo-fi aesthetic and an earworm of a singalong hook.
Currently, the band is wrapping up efforts on a new album to be released in the near future. If this new track is any indication, that’s a disc worth looking forward to. See for yourself: The band’s been kind enough to pass along the song as a free download to DC9 readers. Grab it after the jump.
