You should well know by now all about Lights All Night, the annual New Year’s Eve bash in town that this year will become a two-night event featuring the biggest names in the electronic music world (Tiesto, Girl Talk, Diplo, Benny Benasi, Ghostland Observatory, Neon Indian, and many, many, many more).
Well, know this too about the December 30 and December 31 event set to take place at the Dallas Convention Center: The Observer and DC9 are sponsoring it. And among the many ways we’re lending a helping hand: We’re running a contest so that one eager DJ can worm his or her way onto the bill. Oh, and we’re hooking up four other DJs in the process, too.

It’s pretty simple. Just go to this contest entry site by 11 a.m. CST on Friday, November 18, and upload a song or DJ set through your browser. The only rule, really, is that you have to be 18 years of age or older to enter.
After the entry process is complete, uploaded entries will be perused and voted upon by the public, who will select a grand prize winner to perform a 45-minute set at Lights All Night on December 30 and at the after-party for the Observer‘s own Artopia event, which is scheduled to take place on December 3 at the Dallas Contemporary. Four other second-place finishers will be invited to perform sets at Artopia as well.
