Tonight at the Double Wide, in honor of the great Chelsea Callahan’s birthday, the venue is throwing Cha-Cha’s 5th Annual Rock-And-Roll for Charity.
And it’s a pretty busy event, starting tonight at 8 and running until the bar closes at 2 in the morn’. There’s free bbq from Sonny Bryan’s from the get-go (although supplies are limited), and starting at 8:30, there’s a whole bunch o’ music to take in: performances from Nathan Browningham’s latest project, Hello Lover, Slider Pines, RTB2 and The King Bucks. Oh, and DJ Burlap and Matt Hillyer of Eleven Hundred Springs, right after they wrap up their radio show on KHYI 95.3-FM The Range, will be rockin’ the country ones and twos in the bar room.
Costs seven bucks to enter, but it all goes to a good ’cause: The Carter Albrecht Music Foundation.
So, yeah, I’ll see you there. —Pete Freedman
