See the Best Costumes From This Year’s Annual Halloween Block Party in Oak Lawn

We saw angels, demons, sexy Patrick Star and yes, furries.
As Nicki Minaj once said, "Pink wig, thick ass, give 'em whiplash."

Last Saturday, Dallas’ creepiest and coolest took over Cedar Springs Road for this year’s Halloween Block Party in Oak Lawn. Dubbed as one of, if not the largest, Halloween events in the city, the annual tradition has been solidified as a festive favorite in North Texas.

Hosted by Station 4, this year’s event welcomed looks from ages 18+ to the 3900 block of Cedar Springs Rd. for a night of drinks, dancing and dress-up. Street-side vendors and local haunts like Lava Lounge and The Round-Up Saloon provided plenty of booze and Halloween spirit for attendees with live music, drag performances and more. However, the real sources of entertainment were the costumed guests themselves.

Whether fully dressed up in ornate headpieces and lights or dressed all the way down to bondage mesh and bunny ears, almost every attendee went all out to celebrate the season of the witch. Throughout the party, masqueraders strut their spooky stuff down the block’s famous Halloween Costume Runway, where they showed off their ensembles. Meanwhile, more modest souls lingered on the sidewalk, sipping their potions and applauding from the shadows.

Now that the sun has risen and the cauldrons have run dry, we’ve gathered a few of our favorite costumes from the party’s scary good lineup. If you didn’t get a chance to haunt this one over the weekend, there are still plenty of chances this week.

As seen on countless Pinterest Boards: The lime lips.

They look crazy as hell… and like they just got back from there, too.

It’s not a proper Oak Lawn Block Party unless someone in their underwear threw on some wings and a halo.

We personally would not let Michael Myers walk our dog.
