TOCA Social Brings Neon-Lit Soccer, Zombie Smashing to The Colony

FIFA's imminent North Texas takeover had us in the mood to kick the ball around, so we hit up Grandscape's TOCA Social to see what it was all about.
TOCA Social’s indoor game bays have a sleek, soccer-themed interior design.

Grandscape’s newest entertainment hub is a sensory-rich playground where digital soccer collides with arcade nostalgia and modern sports bar energy. We previewed TOCA Social a while back, but now that the doors are officially open, we laced up our metaphorical cleats to see how the experience actually plays out on the turf.

The setup operates much like Topgolf, but instead of swinging a club at a distant green, you are booting a soccer ball at a massive, interactive screen. You reserve a private gaming room for 45-minute blocks. Pricing runs a reasonable $15 per person from Monday through Thursday, bumping up to $20 on weekends. Anyone under 21 needs an adult chaperone, though non-playing supervisors get a free pass.

Time is your most precious currency here. Those 45 minutes sprint by faster than a stoppage-time breakaway. To maximize your playtime, you’ll want to handle your player profiles — names and emails — with urgency. Better yet, figure out your food and drink orders before you ever set foot in your pod. Every minute spent debating appetizers is a minute you aren’t blasting digital targets.

Once the brief training video wraps, you choose from about five distinct games. You don’t need to be a seasoned athlete to enjoy the turf, either. A beginner setting offers plenty of straightforward thrills, while intermediate and advanced modes provide rigorous technical challenges to test the loudest braggart in your friend group. The undisputed crown jewel of the lineup is Zombie Attack, where you literally kick balls at the screen as if they are packed with high-grade explosives, taking out hordes of the undead. It’s pure, chaotic, Shaun of the Dead energy that guarantees laughs.

A quick note of caution for the fiercely competitive: the tracking technology can occasionally be a bit finicky. Sometimes a solid strike fails to register, or your session speeds along before you can rack up a high score. Bring your patience and remember you are here for a good time, not a professional scouting combine.

Beyond the gaming bays, the venue leans hard into a stylish locker-room aesthetic. Stadium chairs face massive screens, creating a cool illusion of standing on the pitch. You will even spot a Ted Lasso-inspired “Believe” banner painted over the staircase; a nice touch that captures the heart of the sport.

On the culinary front, the menu offers a wide variety of snacks and libations. We kept it simple with the trio dip. The queso and salsa hold their own perfectly fine, though the guacamole arrived surprisingly plain and practically saltless. If you want a punchy flavor profile, explore the broader menu or grab heavier bites after your session ends.

The second floor is currently wrapping up its final touches. Soon, it will feature another massive block of gaming rooms, a full arcade and a sprawling patio. That outdoor perch offers prime views of the Grandscape courtyard, the stage and the Ferris wheel. You can sip a cocktail up there and stare down at the wandering crowds below exactly like the judgmental Volturi meme from Twilight.

TOCA Social cements Grandscape as a supreme destination for date nights, family outings and team bonding. Between catching a match here or at Cosm, putting around at Puttery, escaping rooms or shopping at Scheels, the area is bursting with kinetic energy. Just remember to study the game modes online before you arrive, order your snacks fast and keep your head in the game.

TOCA Social is located inside Grandscape at 5740 Grandscape Blvd, Suite 110, The Colony.
