Though Brian Stokes Mitchell’s name may not be one you recognize on first mention, he has a face and a voice that you will surely recognize. For more than 30 years, the Tony Award-winning performer has taken to the Broadway stage (Kiss Me Kate), the silver screen (Jumping the Broom) and the boob tube (The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air), and he’s performed at concert halls all across the country to thrilled audiences. If you’ve never had the chance to see a live performance, then this is your lucky day, because the famous baritone is coming to town to belt it out like no other, kicking off TITAS’s 2011-2012 season with a special live concert. Catch a uniquely memorable performance by Brian Stokes Mitchell as he takes to the stage at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Winspear Opera House, 2403 Flora St. Tickets are $12 to $125.
