Cancer is something usually perceived in dark, gloomy colors because well, it’s a dark, gloomy time in the lives of those affected by it. But the Children’s Cancer Fund (CFF) focuses on hope for a cure, in a colorful, joyous way. Its annual runway show and luncheon features celebrities from Cowboys to chefs to beauty queens, as well as local media saluting 38 young cancer patients. The Beyond the Rainbow Luncheon starts at 11:30 a.m. Friday in the Chantilly Ballroom of the Hilton Anatole Hotel, 2201 Stemmons Freeway with a Champagne reception and silent auction at 10 a.m. Tickets are $150.
