If you are a big fan of tennis, but lack the budget of other such fans who can afford courtside tickets to Wimbledon or the French Open, you are in luck. The Texas Tennis Open begins this weekend at the Hilton DFW Lakes, 1800 Highway 26 East in Grapevine. This event is touted to bring “the world’s best female tennis players to North Texas” and starts with preliminary rounds at 11 a.m. Saturday. The week-long tournament will continue through next Saturday, August 26, with the championship final round set to take place that evening. Even though Venus, Serena and Anna are not slated to compete, the tournament will still showcase some pretty badass tennis. Ticket prices vary between $10 and $60, depending on the day and seating area, and can be purchased by visiting ticketmaster.com.
