Nancy “Shaggy” Moore should be a familiar name to many: She has written for local publications, hosted a show on KNON-FM 89.3 and graced stages all over town with Her Light, Sweet, Crude Band. And while all of this was going on, she also managed to care for her disabled parents for more than three decades. Though she’s sure to tell you that it was all worth it to keep her parents close and cared for, the taxman has come to collect, and she’s looking for a little help from her friends. Nancy’s teaming up with the Rizos family (of Stratos Global Greek Taverna) for We Could Be Gyros, a benefit that will feature live and silent auction items as well as performances by Jackson Eli, Jenni Mansfield Peal, Chin’s Mojo and Nathan John Adamson and friends. The restaurant will donate 100 percent of food and beverage sales between 2 and 6 p.m. this Sunday, so head to Stratos (2907 Northwest Highway) and be a gyro to Nancy, if just for this one day.
