For a lot of Dallas kids, their first introduction to the Dallas Symphony Orchestra was the Memorial Day Concert at Flag Pole Hill. It’s a decades-old tradition that combines classical music, picnics and fireworks. And this is not the year to stray from traditions. Grab that apple pie out of the oven and pack a bottle of wine and head to Flag Pole Hill (8007 E. Northwest Highway) at 8 p.m. Monday with your kids in tow to revel in a symphony or two. The concert is free and seating is first come, first served. For more information, visit dallassymphony.com
