The dating scene can be a real swamp. At every watering hole, endless numbers of snakes and rats lie in wait for their prey, and a girl can only fend off so many orange-toothed nutrias and scaly crocs before she’s ready to call it quits. But, ladies, just remember that old aphorism, “You’ve got to kiss a lot of frogs before you find a prince.” Anxious to get started? Join the National Wildlife Federation’s Frogwatch USA workshop at the Fort Worth Nature Center, 9601 Fossil Ridge Road, on Friday to learn about “frogs and toads in our communities” and tips on monitoring amphibian populations. The program runs 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and is free. You just might find a prince among your fellow frog-watchers—just beware the horny toads. To register, email frogwatch@nwf.org.
Fri., March 10, 2-5 p.m.
