At the very least, the Treasured Friends no-kill shelter at 3556 Ridgebriar Drive picks up the slack around Dallas, but it needs your help finding homes for stray puppies and kittens, so help out by visiting its expansive summer garage sale from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
