Keep Dallas Observer Free
We’re $1,500 away from our spring campaign goal!
We’re aiming to raise $10,000 by April 26. Your support ensures Dallas Observer can continue watching out for you and our community. No paywall. Always accessible. Daily online and weekly in print.
Sure it’s a cliche, but there truly is something to be said for the concept of walking in someone else’s shoes. And to that end, the Dallas County Sexual Assault Coalition is asking the many men of this great city to strap on a pair of high-heeled pumps and literally walk a mile in Walk A Mile In Her Shoes, the coalition’s first annual fundraising walk. The benefit gives dudes the chance to show their support for women who are victims of sexual violence and raise awareness in the community that these crimes affect us all. So men, get those feet ready and, women, make sure the camera battery is charged. Walk a Mile in Her Shoes is from 9 a.m. to noon at The Nodding Donkey, 2900 Thomas Ave. The entrance fee is $25.
