With spring upon us, local landscapes are shedding their drab browns of winter in favor of the lush greens and bold colors that we’ve come to know and love in gardens. For those of us whose gardens have yet to bloom, the acrylic garden scenes of Sharen Chatterton’s The Nature of Flowers, now on display at the Texas Discovery Gardens in Fair Park (3601 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.), will show us what’s in our colorful futures. Featuring brightly colored garden scenes of flowers and butterflies, Chatterton’s paintings are sure to delight flower lovers everywhere. The Nature of Flowers will be on display at the gardens through July 31. Admission is $4, with senior and child discounts available and free admission for members. Texas Discovery Gardens is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Call 214-428-7476 or visit texasdiscoverygardens.org.
