Blue Moon Men of Kentucky
What do folk music and aliens have in common? Well, nothing. At least they didn’t until The History of Future Folk, the movie about two aliens who visit Earth and decide to save the planet because they’ve fallen in love with — among other things — bluegrass music. This sci-fi romance is a charming story about two misfits that has all the makings of a corny cult classic. And rumor has it, that the aliens will give a live performance of their earthly tunes when it’s screened at the Kessler Theatre (1230 W. Davis St.) at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. Tickets are free if you RSVP through do214.com.
