Keep Dallas Observer Free
We’re $1,700 away from our spring campaign goal!
We’re aiming to raise $10,000 by April 26. Your support ensures Dallas Observer can continue watching out for you and our community. No paywall. Always accessible. Daily online and weekly in print.
What started four years ago as a means to cover the medical costs of a few displaced dogs in Atlanta has now grown across multiple states and raised $45,000 for nonprofits in the process. PBR for PUPS combines all of life’s most wonderful components: kegs of Pabst, do-gooder motives and lots and lots of crawfish. Your $20 donation at the door gets you access to those insect-lookin’ swamp delicacies, two cups of PBR, shimmy-shake time with three bands (The Harrisons, the Catdaddies and When Squirrels Attack, the last of which dogs hate) and the overall glow that comes from donating cash to a great cause. Your funds will go to the coffers of Animal Rescue of Texas, a nonprofit, volunteer-run foster and education program that gives countless pets a great life. All you gotta do is show up to the Green Elephant, 5627 Dyer St., from 2 to 8 p.m. and party. You lucky dog. Email pbrforpups@gmail.com.
