Give ’em the old razzle-dazzle just like Billy Flynn. Stand on tables, tap your toes and belt out your favorite lyrics. Yes, it’s cheesier than Velveeta but no one can deny an infectious Broadway musical. The passion, the hocus pocus and the magic have been celebrated for decades. Just ask Dallas Summer Musicals when they present the 70th Anniversary Best of Broadway Showcase Exhibit. Celebrate the Tony Award-winning company and the history of Broadway with photos and memorabilia from their renowned productions of theatrical classics like Rent, Mamma Mia and Cabaret. The historical exhibit is free to the public and runs from Saturday through August 31 at the Ross Akard Gallery, 1717 N. Akard St. For more information call 214-720-5394 or visit rossakard.com and dallassummermusicals.org.
Tuesdays-Saturdays, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. & 4-7 p.m. Starts: July 31. Continues through Aug. 31, 2010
