Some will tell you that comedian Neil Hamburger wasn’t born in a traditional sense, that he instead materialized in the coat check of a pizza parlor off a frontage road in Atlantic City. Hamburger speaks in a collective “we,” and whether he’s including his phantom “management,” adoring fans or alter persona Gregg Turkington is open for debate — but wasting perfectly good neural synapses on decrypting the mystery is something Hamburger would scoff at. After all, he isn’t coming to Sons of Hermann Hall (3414 Elm St.) on Thursday night for some meta game of hide the conceptual pickle. He’s coming to bring laughter to the good people of Dallas. He’ll do that by mercilessly assaulting celebrities and life’s inconsistencies through his signature highball-fueled one-liners, and you’ll want to be there when it happens.
