La Cage aux Folles is a classic story of love triumphing in the face of diversity. Except it is a little more, well, diverse than it is classic. Georges owns a nightclub in Saint-Tropez, La Cage aux Folles (The Birdcage). He and his longtime partner, Albin, who is also the nightclub’s main attraction, live a great and colorful life. Feathers get ruffled when Georges’ son brings home his fiancée and announces that her ultra-conservative parents will be joining them for dinner. Comedy and tolerance ensue as everyone tries to do the right thing, and a whole bunch of wigs are worn. The musical incarnation is presented by ONSTAGE in Bedford at 2819 Forest Ridge Drive, Friday through February 23, with performances at 8 p.m. Fridays and 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Saturdays. Fridays, Saturdays, 8 p.m.; Saturdays, 2 p.m. Starts: Feb. 8. Continues through Feb. 23, 2008
