The Canadian’s sure know how to turn in some decent sketch comedy, eh? For the many American comedy fans who have missed it on PBS, The Red Green Show is a treasure trove waiting to be unlocked. Veteran actor Steve Smith, who plays the titular character, comes off as a small-town (and funnier) Tim “The Tool Man” Taylor, especially when he relies on Arkansas chrome, sorry, we mean duct tape, to handle the lion’s share of his inventive and humorous repair projects inside his Ontario-based cabin. Now that The Red Green Show has halted making new episodes, it has taken its Wit and Wisdom Tour on the road so that folks outside of the show’s fictional, woodsy setting near Port Asbestos can get a taste of Possum Lodge craftsmanship. The show comes to the Lakewood Theater, 1825 Abrams Road, at 7 p.m. Monday. Visit redgreen.com/dallas2.html for tickets — they’re $45.50 — and information.
