There’s a myth floating around that humans only use 10 percent of our brains. (Personally, I have allocated about 3 percent to daily use while the rest is filled up with 26 years of song lyrics.) Does each of us have a large chunk of unused, untapped gray matter? Scientists say no—we use 100 percent of our brain power. But it begs the question: What would you do with 90 percent more noggin? Maybe you’d find that you could bend spoons, become telepathic or see into the future—or maybe just remember a lot more song lyrics. Explore your potential as a seer (or seeress) at Betwixt & Between’s Peering Into the Well: Northern Practices of Soulcraft workshop. The three-day seminar explores the practice of seidh, a long-standing heathen “magical” tradition. Could you be an oracle? Find out Friday through Sunday at Betwixt & Between, 4415 Belmont Ave., with seidh practitioner Jennifer Culver. Cost is $20 for members, $25 for non-members. Visit betwixt.org.
