It takes a huge set of balls to call yourself the “The” of anything whether the title is “The Structural Engineer,” “The Research Librarian” or “The Fries Guy.” Fortunately, Cedric the Entertainment deserves the title he bestowed upon himself when he became a comedian. He’s not only performed in just about every place in the world with a stage but he’s also racked up an impressive movie career (if you don’t count “Code Name: The Cleaer”) including the controversial “Barbershop” movies and Spike Lee’s “Original Kings of Comedy” and even some time on the small screen on “The Steve Harvey Show” and as a recent host of “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” The Verizon Theatre at Grand Prairie is located at 1001 Performance Place. Tickets are $35-$85 each depending on available seating. 8 p.m., Sat. Dec. 20, 2014.
