Typically, I’d make some infantile joke about teams named the Frisco RoughRiders and the Corpus Christi Hooks. I’m not going that way this time, though. The Rangers’ AA affiliate is tearing through the Texas League right now with a roster chock full of beautiful babies, like Elvis Andrus, the best shortstop prospect in the game. Before the Rangers trade him for a six-pack of Zima, go see Andrus flash some leather Thursday when the Riders get on the Hooks (damn) at 7 p.m. Tickets can be had at ridersbaseball.com.
