When Halloween rolls around, I’m more of a get-drunk-and-wear-a-stupid-costume person than a go-scare-my-balls-off person. And, I’ve been that way since I was a kid and my mom handed me my first Halloweentini. But, if you like all of that gory, chainsawing, running upstairs when some dude is trying to kill you instead of running downstairs when some dude is trying to kill you, “Holy shit, that grape totally felt like an eyeball” stuff, 7 p.m. until midnight this Wednesday (which is Halloween), you should check out Thrillvania Thrill Park at Interstate 20 and Wilson Road in Terrell. (You can go several times up through Halloween, too, if you’re one of them repeater scary mofos.) I peed myself in fear just looking at the Web site, but you can happily pay money to crap yourself in Granny Lupus’ Séance Theatre, Dr. Lycan’s Trail of Torment, Voodoo Bayou, Maze of Chaos, Cassandra’s Labyrinth of Terror and The World Famous Verdun Manor. Tickets cost $25 to scream through every attraction once, and they’re only $12.50 if you’re under 12 years old and you’re crazy enough to talk your parents into taking you to this deathfest. Call 972-524-2868 or visit thrillvania.com.
