If you’re a family man or woman, it is nearly impossible to see live comedy with your little ones. That’s because the man or woman of the hour-and-a-half-or-so on stage either made his name through boundary-breaking shock and obscenity or wasn’t funny enough on his own and had to turn his act into some kind of pro-family political statement that feels more like proselytizing than punch-line performance (looking at you, Brad Stine). Taking the kids to a comedy show doesn’t feel like it should be that big of a dilemma. Brian Regan is one of the few headlining comics who can actually deliver a clean, funny show filled with goofy, over-the-top observational humor that reaches a wide audience of all ages, and unlike other comics with the same goal, he’s actually funny.
