Henry Cho has said he does not want to be known as an Asian comic. Too bad every article ever written about him talks about how he’s Asian and a comic. And clearly a weekly paper calendar listing is the time and place for a meaningful discussion about race and othering. Or we can have this discussion with Cho at the second best place to do so, a comedy club. You’ll have to corner him in the parking lot, however, because the Addison Improv doesn’t like hecklers, even socially conscious ones. The sparkling clean Cho performs this weekend at the club, 4980 Belt Line Road in Addison. Shows are 8 and 10 p.m. Friday; 5, 6:30 and 9 p.m. Saturday; and 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $15 to $17. Call 972-404-8501 or visit improv.com.
