$10,000

Bruce Robison and Kelly Willis are Texas country’s favorite couple, our very own modern George and Tammy minus most of the drama and substance abuse (save a very public addiction to the allergy drug Claritin). After taking a break from recording to make babies, both songwriters are back this year, with a new Willis record in the works, a new Robison album (Eleven Stories, released in April) and a new Christmas record. Entitled Happy Holidays, it’s their first fully collaborative LP, though they’ve certainly shared a few co-writes and duets over the years. If your family enjoys Robert Earl Keen’s “Merry Christmas From the Family” as much as mine, the disc is sure to make a great stocking stuffer. This Saturday, the pair will bring their holiday tunes to the Granada Theater, 3524 Greenville Ave. Tickets are $20 to $25. Call 214-824-9933 or visit granada-theater.com. Willis and Robison will also visit Dan’s Silverleaf, 103 Industrial St. in Denton, on Wednesday. Call 940-320-2000 or visit danssilverleaf.com.

Wed., Dec. 6
