Have you always regretted letting your college counselor talk you out of that drawing class and into intro accounting? Is the Pictionary app on your smartphone no longer sating your creative impulse? Well, thanks to the instructors at Oil and Cotton creative exchange, you can make up for lost time and hone your artistic abilities for a nominal fee. Each Monday this season, Oil and Cotton invites students to learn the art of collage as part of their Layers, Leaves and Letters series. Mind you, this isn’t the weak tissue paper and glue stick collage from your grade-school years. Students and teachers work with several types of adhesives and papers to practice compositional techniques and create original works using new botanical subjects. This month’s class takes place at 7 p.m. at Oil and Cotton, 837 W. 7th St. The session costs $65. For details, call 214-942-0474 or visit oilandcotton.com.
