As hard as is for some to dance on a flat surface, just imagine gliding, leaping and navigating the choreography of a performance on a curved stage with water being thrown at and poured all over you. That’s exactly what British company Motionhouse will do during their production, Scattered … sort of. Combining physicality with the virtual, the dancers of Motionhouse interact with the ramp installation and other props as well as video projection, and, of course, one another, to dive into the human-water relationship. The result is everything from exquisite modern dance to high-tension cirque to full-on optical illusion. If we’re placing bets, “How did they do that?” will be the most popular audience response. Hopefully, new appreciations for both dance and water come next. Performances of Scattered are 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at Dallas City Performance Hall, 2520 Flora St. Tickets are $55 to $75. Visit attpac.org.
