If someone were to ask if I wanted to go see dirty, pretty things, then I would automatically assume they were taking me to go watch shirtless, abs-of-steel men wrestle around in mud. Yeah, that’s not really the case with this situation. Dirty Pretty Things happens to be a drama-filled love story that takes place in present-day London. It tells the tale of two illegal immigrants, Senay and Okwe, who begin to fall in love over the course of their trials and tribulations with the immigration police and ungrateful employers. The Auteur Film Series screening and discussion of Dirty Pretty Things starts at 7 p.m. Monday at Collin County Community College’s Spring Creek Campus Conference Center, 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway in Plano. For more information, call 972-881-5790 or visit ccccd.edu/calendar.
