You know that broccoli and cheese soup recipe your grandmother passed down to you that you make every chance you get? Yeah, Christopher Kimball thinks you’re cooking it all wrong and his mission in life is to teach you the right way. Everyone’s favorite PBS cooking show, America’s Test Kitchen, is coming to Dallas Oct. 29 at the Majestic Theatre and you need to be there if you have any respect for your kitchen, health, or beloved recipes. Host Kimball and the show’s chefs not only show you how to cook something to its perfection, but they also break everything down into scientific terms. Words like molecules, enzymes, and residual heat are all thrown around, so really that eighth grade science class will finally come in handy. See it live at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. Tickets are $32-50 and available at dallasculture.org.
Wed., Oct. 29, 7:30 p.m., 2014
