The J PLAYERS of the Jewish Community Center of Dallas presents an award-winning Broadway show, Ragtime, The Musical. The show explores the lives of an upper-class housewife, a Jewish immigrant and a Harlem musician all living in New York at the turn of the 20th century and united by their belief for the future. Featuring traditional Jewish folk songs and marches, jazz and ragtime, the music is as diverse as the cast. Based on an E. L. Doctorow novel, the musical won four Tony Awards and five Drama Desk Awards. Show times are Thursday, February 18 at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, February 20 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, February 21 at 2 and 7:30 p.m. at the Zale Auditorium in the Aaron Family JCC on Northaven Road.
