$10,000

You: a gumshoe hunting a robber chick in a yellow coat. Them: Rockapella, the a cappella group that made the intro music so good. You remember them from Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego? (Who, by the way, was the O.G. of putting the Miss in misdemeanor.) But where are they now? Over the last 18 years, Rockapella has released 20 albums. They’re huge in Japan. And Friday, they perform at Lakewood Theater, 1825 Abrams Parkway. If you’re an enrolled student or a teacher you’re invited to a pre-show “Back to School Special” meet and greet, where you can ask them questions such as: “Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego?” (Someone please ask that.) The rock starts a-pella-ing at 8:30 p.m, with the meeting and greeting at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $24 to $49. Call 214-373-8000, visit ticketmaster.com or filch tickets from Patty Larceny.

Fri., Sept. 15, 7:30 p.m.
