In My Fair Lady, Professor Higgins claims to hate women but love phonetics, so when he hears Eliza Doolittle’s thick Cockney twang, singing, dancing and rain in Spain that stays mainly in the plain are guaranteed. You wouldn’t think that a musical based on George Bernard Shaw’s woman-molding play Pygmalion, highlighting the class discrimination in British society, could provide an entertaining evening of song and dance, but this show manages just fine. If you’re craving some music with a little culture, the show’s at Artisan Center Theater in Hurst through April 10. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, with a 3 p.m. matinee Saturdays. ACT is located at 420 E. Pipeline Road.
