North Texas simmers with artistic vitality in a number of colorful manners. Dance, music, theatre, sculpture and galleries showcasing all sorts of fine works are well-supported here. Of course, we can all love to benefit from an artist’s vision, taking in the aspects of an individual creation that resonate with us. But there’s another side to the creations that entertain and enlighten us here in Dallas. There are passionate folks truly advocating for the advancement of the arts here in town, and too often, that advocacy goes quietly unnoticed. The Dallas Area Cultural Advocacy Center will bring many, vital key art-related issues to the forefront in one of Dallas’ great pieces of architecture, the Latino Cultural Center. The Arts Advocacy Seminar and Luncheon will be a chance for any interested art-seekers to gain a firmer grasp on the ways in which we can all keep art thriving in Dallas, aside from simply purchasing a ticket or telling a friend about a transcendent experience. The Dallas Area Cutural Advocacy Center hosts the Arts Advocacy Seminar and Luncheon at 12 p.m. Tuesday at the Latino Cultural Center, 2600 Live Oak St. Tickets are $35.
