If your mid-week lunch routine could use a pick-me-up, head downtown to Sammons Park on Wednesday for The Dallas Opera’s Brownbag Concert Series. The lunchtime concert begins at noon and features rising vocal stars from the DFW area. Designed to provide beautiful entertainment in a convenient package, the concert is cheap (read: free!) and conveniently located for downtowners. You can pack a lunch or grab a bite at one of the nearby food trucks (picnic tables and chairs will be provided) and indulge in an artistic performance as you chow. For this installment, SMU vocal performance master’s student Coretta Smith will perform a variety of operatic selections. Sammons Park is adjacent to the Winspear Opera House in the Arts District (2403 Flora Street). For more information, visit dallasopera.org.
