Whoever made up that old wives’ tale about the kid who made a funny face and had it freeze that way was obviously no fun. Besides, we all make funny faces on a daily basis anyway, whether we mean to or not. You’re probably making a funny face right now, squinting to read this tiny little newsprint. Or maybe you just farted. Either way, it’s OK. Dallas artist Erica Felicella is fascinated with funny faces like yours, and she’s captured them in photos for Expression, a new exhibit that explores how our faces and body language betray our emotions. The exhibit kicks off with an opening reception (from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.) Friday and runs through March 16 in the gallery at the Magnolia Theatre, 3699 McKinney Ave. Call 214-764-9106.
