If you’re living on a beanbag chair with a milk crate ottoman, get a job, you hippie. And then head to the first ever ID Dallas furniture showcase. There’s a thriving scene here in Dallas, and this one isn’t pumped full of Botox. This one is filled with handcrafted furniture that you need to see and buy. Plus if you come to the show, you’ll have a chance to meet the men and women who design and make the things. Stop by the show 8 p.m.-11 p.m. Saturday or 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday at Stage 404, 404 Exposition St. Admission and off street parking are free. Complimentary wine will be served, too.
Sat., June 16, 8-11 p.m.; Sun., June 17, 11 a.m.-4 p.m., 2012
Will you step up to support Dallas Observer this year?
At the Dallas Observer, we’re small and scrappy — and we make the most of every dollar from our supporters. Right now, we’re $15,000 away from reaching our December 31 goal of $30,000. If you’ve ever learned something new, stayed informed, or felt more connected because of the Dallas Observer, now’s the time to give back.
