In the post-Beatlemania era, it’s perhaps true to say that a hard day’s night usually involves ordering in and falling asleep during Letterman, whereas a hard night’s day involves a handful of Ibuprofen, a gallon of Gatorade and asking everyone to talk a little quieter. But this Friday, A Hard Day’s Night will indeed mean the classic Beatles film, and “A Hard Night’s Day” will mean the Dallas Beatles cover band of clever nomenclature. The film and band are part of “‘Til Midnight At The Nasher,” a monthly outdoor concert and music series kicking off with the Beatles-stravaganza. Wolfgang Puck (the entity, not the dude) will cater the event with a la carte offerings starting at $8, Nasher folk will give gallery tours throughout the night, and 11 p.m. viewings of James Turrell’s skyspace, “Tending, (Blue),” will count down to midnight. Round up your clean old grandpa and escape throngs of screaming teenage girls, because the festivities start at 6 p.m Friday, with music at 7 p.m. and the film at 9 p.m. ‘Til Midnight admission is included with entry into the Nasher: $10 adults, $7 seniors, $5 kids and free for members.
