Sometimes the draw of a culture convention is the costumes, or sharing an experience with like-minded fans. Sometimes it’s even going to educational panels and learning something new. In this case, it’s a perfect storm of smoldering celebrity panels, more smoldering and a … dance party (fans may also enjoy commemorative smoldering via signed head shots, but it’s hard to say for sure). The Vampire Diaries Official Convention is sinking its teeth into Dallas for the weekend, this Saturday and Sunday at the Westin Dallas Fort Worth Airport. Tickets (starting at $40) will guarantee you a seat in proximity to Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder (both appearing Sunday), and eight other stars (Michael Trevino, Steven R. McQueen, Arielle Kebbel, and others) from the hit CW series. A cosplay contest and trivia games will help to keep fans’ TVD thirst quenched between star sightings.
