Keep Dallas Observer Free
We’re aiming to raise $10,000 by April 26. Your support ensures Dallas Observer can continue watching out for you and our community. No paywall. Always accessible. Daily online and weekly in print.
Dallas is often known for its glamour and style, but hiding behind that shine is something much brighter and more beautiful than any couture garment or three-pound diamond. We have tiny groups of people who provide support for those who can’t press on, lend assistance to our neighbors in crisis and give relentlessly so that others may suffer less. One of those groups is the Red Party Foundation, an organization dedicated to providing financial support to Legacy Counseling, Inc., as well as advancing the knowledge of HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment and counseling services within the community. Also, they throw a killer party. Friday’s major rager is a full-on runway spectacle called the Sizzlin’ Summer Fashion Show and it’s slated to be one of the flashiest, most exciting catwalk escapades of the season. Featuring looks by Anthony Manfredonia, “Viviona by Vera,” men’s swimwear by Diesel and others, all paraded down see-through runways planked across the pool at Ilume, this bash is going to be heavy on the glam. Support this group by having a great time. General admission costs $30. Buy tickets at sizzlinsummerfashion.eventbrite.com. Ilume is located at 4123 Cedar Springs Road.
