On Friday, the ladies of Alpha Chi Omega will put on their annual fashion show and charity event, Alpha Chi Couture. The runway show, which also includes an extensive silent auction, raises money to support victims of domestic violence both locally and nationally. Dallas’ Genesis Women’s Shelter, the evening’s beneficiary, provides important resources to battered and abused women and children including emergency shelter and safety, educational programs, counseling, legal services and transitional housing. Over the last four years, this event has raised more than $85,000 for the organization. Models will wear fashion provided by Tootsies, WAREhaus and Brooks Brothers. The silent auction will have you bidding on everything from a signed Dallas Stars jersey to a night’s stay at the Fairmont Hotel. Tickets are $60 (or $20 for students). Alpha Chi Couture will be held at the Frontiers of Flight Museum (6911 Lemmon Ave.). For more information, visit alphachicouture.com.
