Ella Fitzgerald won 13 Grammy Awards, the National Medal of Arts and in 2005, nearly a decade after her death, was inducted into Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Jazz Hall of Fame. This week, she won another posthumous honor when her image debuted on a new 39-cent stamp. The U.S. Post Office in Fort Worth will unveil it with a concert by singer Patti Austin and the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra on January 18 at Bass Performance Hall, the first of four For Ella shows through January 21. Concerts start at 8 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $24 to $76. Visit fwsymphony.org or call 817-665-6000.
