Flip Orley certainly boasts some good reviews for his stand-up comedy. But as a comedy hypnotist, it’s difficult to gauge just how funny he really is; it could just be that his hypnosis skills are so powerful that you’ll just think you’ve had a good time. I suppose there’s no difference—if you think the show is great, it’s great. But don’t be surprised if you leave the room with a Children of the Damned glow in your eyes. Personally, if I wanted to see people walking around in their underpants and barking like a dog, I’d check back into rehab. Either way, there’s a two-drink minimum. Flip Orley performs at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday with performances continuing through Sunday (show times vary) at The Addison Improv, 4980 Belt Line Road. Tickets range from $15 to $18.
