Let’s just get it out of the way now: There are some things a man will never live down, and one of those things would be a dozen-yearlong career playing an endearingly annoying nerd named Samuel “Screech” Powers. Yeah, we’re looking at you, Dustin Diamond. And we’ll be looking even closer this weekend as Diamond makes a Dallas stop on his stand-up comedy tour. (Hopefully we won’t see as much of the comic as we did in his self-released sex tape or behind the scenes tell-all Saved by the Bell book.) Diamond brings his own brand of decidedly un-Screech-like funny to the over-18 crowd, so catch his two shows at 8:30 and 10:30 p.m. Friday at Hyena’s Dallas at Mockingbird Station, 5321 E. Mockingbird Lane. Admission is $10 to $15 with a two-drink minimum. Call 214-823-5233 or visit hyenascomedynightclub.com.
