Attention, speedsters: Have you ever wanted to ride around the oval track at the Texas Motor Speedway? Now you can! Well, on a bicycle anyway. Prepare to burn some serious bicycle rubber at the DFW Tour de Cure at the NASCAR playgrounds. Hundreds of cyclists will be riding to raise funds for the American Diabetes Association, benefiting the more than 23 million Americans with diabetes. An official pace car will lead riders once around the 1.5-mile track and then off you go! Even if your last bike had training wheels, not to worry: Choose to ride a five-, 15-, 32-, 62- or 100-mile route. Check-in starts at 6 a.m. Saturday. The registration fee is $25 and riders must raise a minimum of $150 to participate. For more information, call 972-392-1181, ext. 6102, or visit diabetes.org/tour.
