A comedy club is simply no place for “safe” comedy—that’s what Jay Leno and afternoon Comedy Central are for. See, when I shell out a $15 or $20 cover (plus the two-item minimum), I want to hear the kind of foul-mouthed subversion that would make a suburban soccer mom cry. Luckily for me, Sean Rouse sounds like my type of guy. Known for his sick and twisted brand of humor, Rouse has most famously appeared on Dave Attell’s Insomniac Tour. This Thursday through Sunday he’ll take the stage at the Improv, 4980 Belt Line Road in Addison. Tickets are $12 to $15. Call 972-404-8501 or visit improv.com.
Fri., Sept. 8, 8:30 & 10:30 p.m.; Sat., Sept. 9, 7, 9 & 11 p.m.; Sun., Sept. 10, 7:30 p.m.
