If you’re one of those people that just has to lock down some sort of New Year’s Eve plans before Christmas even comes, you’re in luck. But even if you aren’t, you too are in luck. The Libertine Bar on Lower Greenville Avenue has a New Year’s bash planned that should rival the racket in Times Square. Or at least try to. The bar will feature all of the usual Libertine ales and fare, with the added bonuses of a Monty Python theme, a DJ, party favors (we’re guessing festive hats and noisemakers) and a free champagne toast at midnight. And because New Year’s Eve falls on a Friday this year, parking will be free, but only until 10 p.m., so get there early and work on your buzz for 2011. There’s no cover, and that alone is worth going out for. Visit libertinebar.com for more info.
