Wanting to make your life a little more environmentally friendly? Learn more about how to live a greener life and about the nature that surrounds us, and have a good time with the whole family at the third annual Dallas Green Festival, Saturday September 18 from 9 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. The festival is a day outdoors to help raise awareness and inspire environmental stewardship through activities that are creative and exciting. Activities will include a monarch butterfly tagging and release, face painting, various trainings, product demonstrations, live music and food, of course. For the more adventurous, there will be a climbing wall and zip line! In addition, there will be a Smart Car rally through the streets to benefit the Texas Discovery Gardens’ Children’s Education Programs. All of this green fun takes place at the Texas Discovery Gardens at Fair Park. Visit greendallas.net for information.

Sat., Sept. 18, 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m., 2010
